Nice job, man. Doesn't look underexposed on my monitor. I'm sure the weird colors are a result of your digital "skills" and the plate itself looks much different (better). How tall is betty? You must have had your bellows racked out to 4 feet.
Such an interesting process. Just out of curiosity, roughly how much would you be looking at in material costs to produce something on this scale?

Yeah the funky colors are my digital skills or lack thereof. The plate is almost dead on so I guess the underexposed part is maybe lost in translation.
Excluding the camera, I guess (its hard to tell exactly how much chemistry goes into each shot) I have about 15 dollars in each shot but that's a wild guess. Part of shooting this big is not asking questions you don't want to hear the answers to. When I have chemistry I shoot it, when I don't I don't worry about it. Most of my wet plate work is now done in the 10 x 12 size which is bit more wallet friendly. When these go well though they are fun.
To see them in person has an impact when the planets align and I do it right.
