Hanni on front porch 1

Hanni on front porch 1

I got this tiny little no-name old brass lens a while back and decided to finally try it out on the 8 x 10. Never thought it would cover that much but there was only a little vignetting at the corners. I think it greated a very nice look to it. Image was shot wide open (F8). The lens isn't obviously the sharpest focusing lens, but I think it creates a nice soft look to things.

Jim - I keep looking for the old ones. Unfortunately, so does everyone else and prices keep going up on Ebay. This one only cost me about $20. No writing on the lens at all other than the F-stop scale and a little squiggle symbol (kind of a sideways S). Have you gotten any new ones lately (other than the Voigtlander)?

Beautiful image, lovely light, and the softness of the lens fits. I think you should spend some time with that little brass lens...
