Wall man

Wall man

April 2008. Saw a man jumping around amongst buildings on the South Bank in London. Pretty obvious what the moment was. I'm pretty pleased with it but I'm curious how else one could approach this shot. Ideas anyone?!

First, this is a good shot. Tonality is great, you capture the context of where this man is jumping, and I find that the high lights on his face bring you to him in the image. While the foreground and background does capture the context, maybe there is a little much context and more drama could be added.

If you feel that you could approach and engage the man, you might consider asking him if you could photograph him jumping. I'd would guess that he would respond favorably, i.e., the collaboration of two artist. That way you could have moved much closer and captured more dramatic moments with your lens pointed upward...
