Yosemite creek trees

Jim, know you like the smell of fresh cut wood in your apartment but keep up the good work out in the open. This is a very nice print.

Jan, I love wood!! Trees are calling me now. Maybe they are after me! Seriously, I could have stayed at this spot all day. There was a fallen tree right behind me and after I exposed two sheets on this scene I sat down to enjoy the beauty of this scene. Even if I would have not had a camera this would have been a special memory for me. The light was beautiful at this spot. I'm glad I was able to capture the moment.

Great light. It feels like there is a helluva lot of range in that scene, it's very nicely done. Love the shaggy bark. It's a beautiful scene. Indeed you can smell it and feel it.

Keith, Thanks. A lot of the work I did on this trip was geared toward carbon transfer printing. I 'm going to learn the process. I met up with Vaughn from Humbolt and he showed me his carbon prints and the range they hold is amazing. Azo handles this scene well. The range was from Zone II to about Zone XII. The scan doesn't show it but the print about gets it all.

I really got to get to ol' yose mite one of these days. I am sure I would be stepping in everyone's tripod holes but so what.

Mark, I agree, but I don't even think about the tripod holes any more. Everyones vision is unique. My favorite times are fall and winter. There was about two feet of snow in some areas ( trust me I know how far you can sink with an 8x10 on your back) but it was easy to get around and few people. There are so many images still to be made. Hell, I want to go again!!
