I havn't made many oilprints, as I think it is quite difficult.
bromoil is so much easier....

my beloved brother always laughs at this as it actually is a mess - a mistake if you will.

I fumbled away - and this came out in the end.
it has grown on me since.

makes me think of an old painting in an Italian unknown church(?)..... or something like that..

It does not matter if it was a "mistake" or not - it is YOUR work, however it came into being, and it is *VERY* fine work!!!

It kind of puts me to mind of a mural on the wall of a Roman Villa. Ravaged by time, missing tiles, but the original picture is still pretty much there. Wonderful image!

Wow! An amazing image. Reminds me of frescoes we found in a tiny chapel on the Peloponnese when we cycled round Greece years ago. They were faded and ignored by everyone including the locals but their power was immense.
