It is perfect as it is. The foreground "closes" the pic and pushes my eye to the boy.

I like the scraps in the foreground. Sometimes you can make the best pictures by giving your self some rules and limits, such as you "no crop" rule. Surprisingly, I think it can make you see more creatively.

So print down the foreground then. I think it works well. All the objects in the foreground you will find in a forest. Don't see what's wrong with that. I like it quite a bit, the light is lovely.
