Part of an on-going series of environmental portraits of my boys. This was taken in August of 2005, printed last Friday (2-8-08). Scanned pt/pd print.

Exposure
f64 at 1/8 second
Film & Developer
Ilford FP4+ at ASA125, Ilford Univeral PQ Developer in drum/motor base
Paper & Developer
Platinum/palladium print on COT320 w/ 3% Oxalic acid soak, developed in warm Potassium oxalate
Lens Filter
none
How did you ever get 3 young men to stay still for 1/8 second???

Easy...I train them up with 1 to 2 minute exposures (see Three Snags, Three Boys)!

I also do not expect perfectly still poses...as long as one can see the features in their faces. Movement helps define who they are...I am not going after the classical portrait with this series (obviously).
