The mansion in the background is a very important Adams County, PA landmark, built by rich fruit growers in the early 20th century. Unfortunately the current owner walked out of the house after her husband left her in the 1960s and let it go to waste, refusing many offers to restore it as a B&B and such. She was also known for driving station wagons. This old one sat on blocks, next to a massive beautiful barn.
She never sold, and let the house deteriorate until it was burnt by arsons last year and had to be raised. The station wagon was also removed. But the barn still remains. The lot is currently for sale.
