(Or a slightly darker sky with white clouds that would give a similar pattern to the distant water pools)

Very nice work Ulrich. Great exposure control. The highlight at top left is a little too hot on my screen, I imagine there is some detail on the print?

I love the botton 2/3rds of the print. the upper 1/3 is distracting. very nice comp with great tone.

First of all, thanks all for your kind remarks.
Of cause there is a little detail left in the highlights in the upper left, more as you can see on the screen. It is very light though, as I always tried to keep the impression of glistening back light.
I thought of cropping of the sky myself but decided otherwise. I wanted to keep the documentary character of the picture. Without the sky I think it would become more sort of an fine art abstract. Nevertheless I will follow your suggestion and do that with the next session. It will be a different picture though.
