St David's Cathedral

St David's Cathedral

This was a great opportunity to try out my shiny new Voigtlander 15mm lens. I was busy watching the progress of the old chap walking up the steps and didn't notice the bird in the top of the frame. I'm in two minds as to whether the bird adds to the image or acts as a distraction away from the main event. What do you think?

Bird or no bird - it's awesome! That's how wide angle lenses should be used, to create perspective without distorting the scene too much. I think I favor the bird, actually. But what grabs me is the seemingly 'reach out and touch' texture, and the composition is absolutely flawless.
