Carboys are a specific form of laboratory storage containers.

Roughly equivalent to "jugs", but that might be misinterpreted on APUG.

OK, guess I should have explained !
Yes, they're basically large spherical glass bowls with a neck on.
These were lit from the sides and behind with flash.
The print is actually 2 separate negs sandwiched in the enlarger.
