Conger Eel

Part of a series of dead fish still lifes. These fish were used for crab-pot bait and I used to borrow them from the fishing boats in my village and take them up to my studio to photograph.

Well done. Could almost be a colour shot. Amazing stuff this gold tone if used for the right subjects.

Correct me if I'm wrong - but have I not seen this still life published? I liked it then, and I like it now. Well done.

Love the toning and composition.

Uhner - You may have seen this in the UK's B+W magazine when it won the still life category in 'Photographer of the year' Dec 06

Hi Bill

Delighted to see this image again. I feel very fortunate to have been able to view the original print - I can still remember how stunning it is.

Hope your photography is continuing to go from strength to strength.

All the best
