Nice abstract. The tight framing removes clues about the scale of the scene and makes me imagine what I'm looking at.

thanks everyone for your very nice comments. I'm almost inspired to take out my Bronica and do some more shooting on this series. Then again . . . perhaps I'll wait till spring thaw.

David, not sure how I missed this first time around, but it's a really nice abstract. Very well seen. Did you enlarge your Scala to sheet film and contact print?

thanks thomas. yes, it's from an original Scala 35mm slide printed as a negative on APHS lith film. the negative is then contacted with sensitized watercolour paper to produce a vandyke. I have been shooting 35mm Scala and the images are pretty decent/sharp but I'm planning on moving up to medium format, so I can make real BIG vandykes.
