There are a number of crumbling train bridges near my office. I took this while waiting for my train (yes, my train goes over it). I think these bridges are 80-100 years old. They wanted to put new locomotives on this line, but found out that the many bridges could not support the heavier, newer locomotives.

I'm an old NYC 'El' rider and understand your fascination and fear. Great shot and the paper you used (a favorite of mine) worked really well here. Thanks for posting.
 
I quite like the flat graphic quality of this image. It almost looks like a collage in a different medium. Very cool.
