For me its the way the water droplets are shown against the dark background - indeed the way the background is swirling could even be a reflection on water. Nice work chap!

the tones and ripple of the background look like
tray cast window glass and the bark and driplits are so perfectly infocus.

Very nice, Kerik. I like the background a lot, how the lens distorts it, and how it looks like a reflection in water with circular ripples on it. Wonderful atmosphere and mood.
I also think the little water droplets add a lot, same as John. They sparkle in the otherwise darker mood. Very nicely done.
