so...what happens when you accidentally pour part B of Diafine into the tank first? After realizing my mistake, I proceeded to rinse the film for 1 minute, used part A for 4 minutes, then part B again for 3 minutes, rinsed and fixed. I had to discard the part A because of the contamination, but I think the negatives came out alright. What do you think?

Seems fine. I've seen some strange effects from people using B then A. Almost looks a bit sabattier effect at times. I've not tried that EI combination with Diafine, it has a nice grain to it.
 
the grain comes up with the push, though the reversing of the parts seemed to soften it a touch

i am looking for the evening i also have to process a hp5 at push +2.
i hope mine will be as good aus yours.
a great shot, take a look at it in several years, you will see the time is standing still.
