Schoolhouse; empty

Taken in a high school built in the 1920's. The school has been sitting for some time empty, until a few people from Asheville bought it to turn into artist studios and galleries. Only 4-5 rooms are taken so far, the rest remain empty.

JD, I totally agree. In fact, I agree so much that I'm going back there to shoot a big ole 8x10 slide of it. The colours really are stunning.

Thank you for your kind comments.

I like this a lot! Phenomenal textures. I wouldn't mind seeing it in color too, but have a feeling I will favor the b&w. It really is very well done. Compositionally it's interesting with the little hatch in the lower left, echoing the larger doors. Really nice frame!

I've never even tried sepia toning, much less any of the others.. I will give it a go Svend, as I've always wanted to try gold and sepia toning.

Thanks for looking and for your comments.

Lith is also something I have always wanted to try, but never have. I still have so much to learn just printing plain silver gelatin!
