You did well, even with a 400mm. If this is anything like the Kingfishers in the U.K. more patience and luck is needed than I have got.

Yes, the Kingfishers over here can be difficult to photograph. I believe you make your own luck when photographing wildlife. From photographing at this spot numerous times before, I knew that this rock was one of this Kingfisher's spots to fish so I just waited and he showed up :smile:
