Nude & Nautilus II

A heavily overexposed and then reduced silverprint was the original.
Very well done! The shapes and curves are so natural to look at, I could sit here all day.

Very nice Joe; looks like a palladium from here.

"Reduced" = bleached back?

Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving.
Victor

By "reduction" I do mean bleached back using potassium ferricyanide. The original print was probably given between 3-4 stops overexposure then bleached in the ferricyanide followed by a rinse, then fixer, HCA and a final wash.

The print is given so much exposure so as to look almost totally black before the bleaching. Because of the gross overexposure, the bleach takes awhile to work on the image, so "snatching" the print really isn't necessary. The fixing bath considerably lightens the bleached print. Each print is different using this technique.

Happy Turkey Day to you too Vic and everyone else.
