Early Snow

We woke up this morning to an inch or two of wet, heavy snow. The still clinging leaves drooped ponderously, but held on for still a while longer as autumn comes to a reluctant close. This was taken on our deck.

Thank you all very much. Regarding Murray's comment, I do print every photograph that I scan, but they are always too large for my Epson 3200 scanner, so the neg scan has to suffice. Square negs print to 9.5" and 4x5 print to 11x14 and beyond. I try to make the scans resemble the prints, or if I've scanned before printing, restrict the PS to a minimum of obvious darkroom manipulations like contrast, and maybe some corner and edge burning that I expect to do in the darkroom.

Ahhh, now I understand. Thanks

Wonderful sense of depth in the image -- overall, an excellent image.

Beautifully composed, John. Nicely balanced with depth. I don't know how I missed this 4 months ago.
