A beautiful dawn on Derwentwater in the English Lake District. The mist was very thick pre-dawn but as the sun peeped over the horizon the sky took on some beautiful colours and the mist began to lift so it was suddenly a mad panic to capture the combination of colour and what remained of the mist before it disappeared. Landscape photography tends to be this combination of standing around in the dark for an hour followed by short bursts of intense activity!
I was up on black crag recently and it was really dull with fine drizzel, you jammy sod being there in that beautiful light. Great photograph, I'm green with envy.
