I don't remember ever sharing this one here, but apologies if I have. it's one of my all-time favorite images, and I sort of re-discovered it while digging through work from earlier this year.
This makes me smile for the sheer mastery of it. In an earlier time...a MUCH earlier time...like the 18th century...you'd be a very wealthy society darling, painting the aristocratic families of your nation. But this is now and you are who you are. Still, not much is likely to be different other than the wardrobe you wear to a session...(how your butt looks notwithstanding...hehe...yeah, I read your journal LOL). May you prosper and become celebrated...you certainly should be!
It has the same feel as Dorothea Lange's "Migrant Mother" without the poverty. This really seems to have the feeling of being a mother, whether that is being overwhelmed by children of being surrounded by their love. Amazing image.
