Fuji Neopan 400. Is the same neg base as Fuji Reala I think. It certainly has to be developed with the same process. You end up with a set of negs that look like colour neg stock. But are black and white with an orange stain.

It is very forgiving, I have found that the usual filters (orange, yellow etc) don't seem to have much effect. To be honest I have not used it a lot. But the shots I have taken so far, seem to be very forgiving. It looks like the stock has a seven/eight stop range. So far I don't seem to see a huge amount of difference when bracketing.

Thanks for the kind words.

I've never tried the C-41 Neopan 400, but have wondered about it. You've got some really nice results from it. If it's anything like XP2-Super, then bracketing will not make much of a difference. Overexposing should give finer grain contrary to regular b&w, yet sharpness might lack a little. Usually exposure latitude for XP2 is EI 50-800 or so. How far did you push it either way?

I tried to push an extra couple of stops and it appeared to forgive me completely. So much so I could not see a great deal of difference.

Another friend suggested that he had pushed it 400 to 800 ASA and found it coped superbly. So I guess I will push it further next time. To see how far it will go. So far the results have been sharp throughout.

Hey, I like this Mark

So, this is what i missed for my sins of another lie in on Sunday, DAMMMM

A great balance of Highlight and Shadow detail. Will look like velvet on a matt paper!

Very nice

Stoo

Thanks Stoo, but I am fairly convinced that these were not the best of the morning. I am still waiting for the those - they have not been developed yet. I am rather hopefull of two rolls of Velvia...

If I got the exposure right, I may be dancing across the courtyard yet...
