I decided to get the Ries I use with my 8x10 out and hang the 4x5 right down over the water. I think I'll be doing more of that as I finish up the shooting end of this project.
This is dazzling, Shawn. You're building an interesting and varied portfolio on this theme. Looking forward to the day when I can see them all together.
Thanks everyone! This is one of my favorites and probably one of my best prints from a technical standpoint. The print has a richness to it you can't see here. When you get the right negative Kentona is incredibly impressive. Here's hoping Ilford decides to make a second grade now that they're running the show.
Thomas, you're on the same page as me! It really felt like picking out constellations on the ground glass and the leaves were surely blazing like stars! All the best. Shawn
You are going to have one hell of a portfolio. The pictures bridge the abstract with the literal are the most compelling for me. I was thinking about light pollution earlier today, and I wonder if people who have never looked up into the sky at 3AM in the middle-of-nowhere have any connection with this picture? My hope though, is that sights like these have a universal primordial resonance.
