I really like that. My mom was wonderful. She pushed her body till the end, which hasn't been a year ago. There's nothing in the world like a good mother!

Your picture of your mom is great and it will always bring fond memories. My better half's grandmother just turned 101 and is doing fine. My mom, think of her everyday; we lost her on Ash Wednesday 1992. Thank you for sharing and refreshing some of my memories. Jon

A very personal portrait you will cherish always. It's clear she's an indomitable spirit.
I bought my mother a radio like that in 1989 becuase it was super light and simple and I could make her tapes of her favorite operas. Instead she also used to listen to all 166 Yankees games this year.
