I went to the Bear Mountain Bridge again yesterday morning because it was foggy and I was hoping for the kind of magic morning lighting that happens in those conditions sometimes. But the fog and mist were too dense for any meaningful work, so I came back by way of Bear Mountain State Park and noticed that there was nice mist on Hessian Lake which is where this was taken. It's also the first time I've used the 4x5 in a while, and I must admit I enjoyed it a lot.
Wow John, that's a really beautiful scene. Love the mist in the background and the sharp foreground object. There's some really nice geometry going on here with a relaxing and pleasing composition. Tranquil, calm, almost meditative view. Wonderful!

Thank you all. I've just been printing this and the print is much more delicate and light than the on-line facsimile. Fog is a bear to expose, develop, and print. It's tempting to print such negatives much too darkly, but I think I've managed to avoid that pitfall. In any case, your supportive comments are very much appreciated.
