Bad news from Stalingrad

Bad news from Stalingrad

My good friend Yuryevich, an excellent photographer himself - a good classic portrait. For some reason, he reminds me here a picture of some German soldier from WWII fields.

It is a classic portrait, with strong modeling and nice catchlights that animate his eyes. I don't understand the title though. Why "bad news"?

He looks like he knows what you are up to and finds it slightly amusing. I like the photo.

Jovo, thank you for the opinion - I just see some trace of previous worry in model's eyes, that's why I named it as "Bad news". Maybe

Papagene,
everyone should be amused looking at me in rear of my Toyo, with that gorgeous five-pound glass beauty on its front ))

The old glass can not be outcompeted in this roundness - and the perfectly round apertures of the Compur shutter apparently contribute, too  My old Sonnar is quite shabby-looking, but this does not affect the image at all, to much of my pleasure
