Out exploring the stream behind my place here a few weeks ago. Everytime I hike up the thing I find something new. This is a neg scan, I am trying to decide the best way to print it and am having a hard time making up my mind.
Thanks for looking, any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated.
What a great object to have 'behind your house'. I have a back alley, a few electrical poles, and a big fence hiding the neighbor's yard...
Nicely done. I wonder if the foliage in the top of the frame is necessary. I don't know. I've been cropping it about 1/4-1/2 inch above the top visible rocks. Can't decide. When you print it, perhaps burn in the bottom and particularly the left bottom corner.
I really like the scene. Great work!

I think this is a nice image, and while I am not usually one for cropping, I think this would benefit maybe from a slight crop from top AND bottom. Printed in a 645 format in landscape orientation will help that lower left corner and also the foliage above is cropped a little lower. Then at least the key components remain on 1/3rds within the frame. However, it maybe possible to darken down those areas to add some moodiness to the print and then keep the square format. Very nice backyard by the way, and good work.
Thanks for the helpful advice, you have given me alot of ideas to play with when I print this one. I am lucky enough the area where I live backs up to a mountain, and the stream runs along the back edge of the place. I hike along the stream sometimes and always find new things to shoot.
