am I correct in assuming that this is a "trained" eagle similar to a falcon? I did not know that was possible. I love the narrow depth of field focusing on his eyes.

Very well done! Tough to get the focus right with moving subject and large aperture. This photo tells a nice story.

If this isn't a crop and you have managed to fill the frame, get pin sharp focus on its face and all with the 105mm end of a small magnification zoom, you have done very well.

hallo

yes it was a trained eagle. at first i used the autofocus, but it doesn`t work. so i managed it manuell.
it was cracy because some times the eagle touched our heads with his wings. i needed mor than 15 shots for one good photo .
