Cropped

This version communicates much better with me than the other one. Both are wonderful photographs. One thing I have a hard time with is the expression on the model's face. She seems disconnected from the event, but that's just how I read her, and just my opinion. I think your idea is bold, clever, interesting and well pulled off. I'm envious I didn't think of it.

Good picture, well executed, but I have problems with the models expression, one I know well from photographing my family, it says "Haven't you finished yet ? "

So there is some support for the tighter drop, thanks for your comments.
Re expression, different people will read it different ways, I actually like the way it sets her apart from the chaos of the rushing water, but I'll admit it may have been motivated by an element of have you finished yet as well!

This image has not left my consciousness...
The flow of water over her left arm seems to integrate her into the rocks behind her, forming a new cascade pattern.
Her expression makes me wonder about her mood ... contemplative? Relieved at finding a place of refuge from an unbearably hot day? There seems to be a sense of peace, tranquility - belonging, as if she was a Water Sprite returning to a familiar place at/ near her home.
Given a choice - I would have left the original configuration - without cropping. To me there was a MUCH better sense of rhythm and balance - and sense of "Cataract PLACE".
"Strength of composition"? If you prefer ... to me, this cries out for the opposite - delicacy.
