What a neat photograph. On the screen, the fuzzy cacti look almost huggable- yikes.

Great photo. What is the process that gives the edge of the cacti that "burned in" look? Also is this the "Organ Pipe" National park or is there another place like it actually called "Oregon Pipe"?
 
I was about to ask the same question as AZLF. Could you elaborate a bit on the processing? Is this a montage ?
 
Straight forward printing with some slight burning along the perimeter. The orange filter used for the exposure has more to do with the effect you are wondering about. The darker cactus is in shadow. Also, it should be "Organ Pipe" and not like the state of Oregon. My typo. This image was created on Polaroid Type 55 film and printed from the negative.
