I'm doing a lot of experimenting lately. This is my near-infrared experiment. Evidently the grass doesn't have the necessary amount of chlorophyl to effect the infrared character of the film. It's also lower on the infrared spectrum. I especially like the dark sky.
That's awesome! Foreboding, or ominous as Jerry puts it. Love the color of your print, and the execution in printing is just stellar. Very nice!

Well, I really like it this way. The white-only, no-texture, too-contrasty infrared pictures usually don't work so well for me. Here I think the effect is well balanced - the dark sky, the light/bright grass. Enough texture and details everywhere. You mastered the exposure well. I might have some notions on composition, but those would be only personal quirks - how I'd shoot it. That is not important.
well done. Make notes on how you metered, how you rated the film. And capture more of these images. You would stand different with it this way.
Thank you all! It's so nice when it works. If any of you have any suggestions on selenium toning I could use it. I would like to make a larger print and have it archival. The color is a tad greenish in the print (under fluorescent lights). I'd like to keep the warm tone without neutralizing it. Any ideas?
What I like about it it doesn't look IR. and I see you like Oriental Seagull also. The deep blacks are so good with this. Try Ansco 130 sometime and see how you like that.
