Early Tobacco

This is one of the postcards I sent out for round 11 - my first exchange. This was an untoned copy, some were toned in sepia and selenium, but I didn't keep any of them to scan :-(

This is a tobacco field in early summer just outside Raleigh, NC. You can see homes in the background from a modern subdivision - farmland is being developed everywhere you look around here. Suburbia bumps right up against rural agricultural use, and I find many interesting images at this border.
Very nice story. Love how you printed it. A lot of visual impact.

You should see the selenium/sepia split toned one! Simply fabulous. Unfortunately my copy has a ripped and torn corner but I will tape it back together. A beautiful postcard.

Thanks folks, this was a lot of fun to print. Sorry to hear about the tear, Kate - I've gotten torn corners, scratched emulsions, and one crease  Maybe I should keep a closer eye on my mailman?
