Deep Blue Sea

So I went out on the 7th armed with F80 and Kodak VR 400 (and polarising filter). Sadly these are the best of a bad bunch. I just don't seem to be able to 'do' colour! At least I don't seem to be able to do colour and finish up with anything interesting.
Location
Shoebury Eastbeach, Essex, England. Looking across the Thames Estuary.
Equipment Used
Nikon F80, Nikkor 28-70
Exposure
1/500 @ f22
Film & Developer
Kodak VR 400 lab developed.
Paper & Developer
Lab stuff, maybe Fuji Crystal Archive.
Lens Filter
Polariser.

Well it's a great sea and the silhouette of the ship and some form of pier is good. A bit minimalist maybe but I don't think it would be any better in B&W. Of course maybe you're saying that if you were doing B&W you wouldn't have bothered with this shot but in colour your "right shot" antennae lets you down.

I've tried cancelling my membership of both branches (colour and B&W) of that misfit club but it keeps getting renewed free of charge.

I prefer this one as well. Very nice..perfect in color.

Not interesting? What makes you think so? I like it a lot.

Kevin, Vic & Hans, thank you. I guess I'll have to shoot a bit more colour!

Nice !

This image calls for a big print...not because it's wonderful but because it's a big-print-type-of-image.

Will be easy for any cheap lab to print well on 16X20 for example.
