After a gentle but lovely twilight (Pools of light), it went quite bland as a bank of cloud blew over. In two minds whether to stick or stay. I'm glad I chose the latter as some uplighting livened proceedings.... so there was a mad scramble to change lens, wide-angle bellows and ground glass, swap centre filter from the 80, in addition altering ND grad filtration.

I was being optimistic to prevent distortion and learnt that applying more than the tiniest front rise with the 58mmXL produces vignetting - hence the crop.

The beach is completely empty of people. In just 2-3 hours, holidaymakers will be crammed in like sardines behind their wind-breaks. In the distance is Cape Cornwall and off-shore rocks are The Brisons

No Tom it's the original. I stockpiled lots in a freezer and still have several hundred sheets to use. Lucky me!

I have tried the new version. Colours are pretty much identical, it is 1/3 stop faster making it a true ISO 50 film for me.

I love the skies over England ... at least what I've seen in pictures (everytime I went to England it was sunny and clear :smile:. I always love to see your work Baxter, I'm glad you started posting again.

It is my intention to move down to West Cornwall as soon as practicable with my children. I feel so at home there and am really inspired by the landscape, coast and sea.

I've had rather a full plate recently Robert and not really got around to posting here. My favourite shot from the visit last week is a heart shaped fissure in granite. The B+W is better than the transparency, but am honouring APUG gallery rules and not posting, since I have had to do some selective work to balance the image.
