It's amazing that even as a Web image, a pic from a large Velvia slide stands out with its sharpness, nuance and color saturation.

Thanks for the very kind words guys. This image was taken during my shortened visit to Oregon in May of this year. Initially I wanted to take the image with my Toho Shimo FC45X with my 75mm Grandagon lens. Unfortunately, the camera would not afford sufficient rise with the lens (subsequent to the trip I purchased the Toho Eccentric lens panel that may have allowed sufficient rise) to keep the lines straight. I returned another morning with the Mamiya 7II and the 43mm Mamiya lens. I was forced to tilt the camera to capture the image, but this is not evident in the image.

Also, I am not quite sure as to why the uploaded images are not matching the colors as viewed in Photoshop CS2. The real colors of this image are a bit warmer and more intense in both the digital file used for upload as well as the prints themselves. Rich

Well done! I am sorry that you are not happy with the scan, but without the original to compare to, I think it is great! I really appreciate you sharing this image with us! I haven't put an APUG image into "My Favorites" for a long time but with your permission this one diffinitely goes in.

Thanks for the very kind words. I am not unhappy with the scan. It looks great both in the original Photoshop CS2 file and the prints that have been made by the Chromira Printer. I put one of these out and the 24" X 30" print sold the first day it was displayed in the Art Show. I am just not as overjoyed with the color rendering here at APUG.

You certainly have my approval to include this in your favorites. Thanks again. Rich
