Taken during a gathering in northern Michigan at Bill Schwab's place. This idyllic little church and cemetery is located just a short distance from the shore of Lake Michigan. A beautiful final resting place.
Great use of the format Daniel. As was mentioned above I really enjoy what you are doing with the split 4x5's - but this one is really nice. The use of the two cross to anchor the feel really works.
I've wanted to try creating images in the panoramic format, and the split darkslide was a cheapo way of making them (4 images for each double sheet film holder) without having to buy another piece of equipment. It has been a challenge for me to find compositions using these image dimensions, since I'm not accustomed to seeing this way. I think the elements of a successful panoramic photograph differ somewhat from those of the "squarer" formats-- still trying to discover what these are.
