Civil War Graves on X-ray Film

Civil War Graves on X-ray Film

This is at our local cemetary in Van Buren, Arkansas. This row of civil war graves I felt would be a fitting subject for trying out X-ray film as camera film, as the film is only sensitive to the blue end of the spectrum, just like wet-plate negatives are.
Location
Van Buren, Arkansas
Equipment Used
Toyo half-plate field camera with 5x7 back, 120mm Super Angulon
Exposure
f32, 1/4 sec.
Film & Developer
X-ray film (high speed blue sensitive), HC-110b
Lens Filter
none
An interesting experiment, and it does work well with this subject.

I wonder if you might also try this film on a foggy/ misty morning, the blue sensitivity should emphasize the scattering and produce a soft, dreamy look.

Thanks for sharing!
