Awesome work. Have never seen any process that gives it so much 3 dimensional feel than the wet plate collodion and i am looking at a cheap monitor. This must be something else in the flesh.

It's a difficult and time consuming process...though the labor does make me work in a more thoughtful manner... most of these portraits are 10-30 second exposures with the lens wide open, so it becomes a real collaboration with the subject...

Focus and movement is a real issue with this process. It is not by accident that she has her head on a stump... I made about 6 plates of this girl, and I think three are sharp. If the sitter blinks just once or twice, it barely shows as the eye goes back to it's original position...
