Very nice shot. Wonderful architecture details, and printed in enough to focus you on the cafe people. Lovely tones, and contrast. Good work.

From your f stop and speed, can I take this to be an available light night shot? Was it full-on night or that point where dusk is just shading into night?

The contrast and brilliance with an outer cloak of darkness suits the scene perfectly.

Thanks for the comments. It was taken late in the afternoon in autumn and the light was quite low pentaxuser. I deliberately printed in the edges to focus attention on the people in the cafe, which initially drew me in. The variety of people engaged in what they were doing and the expressions on their faces, I thought would make a good image.
