Tree roots in marsh

Nice work Mark. Great low key feel to this.

Correct me if i'm wrong but it looks to me like you burned the entire top half of the image/print in order to control the values in the sky. I say this since the tip half of the tree trunks are much darker than the rest. Why not burn the sky down with a grade 00 filter and leave the trees as they are?
