This is being offered as my new Special Edition print. I'm currently going through some older work and catching up on a bit of long overdue printing. This day is a special memory for me, I wrote a bit about it in a recent BLOG post.
Thanks fellows, it was truly an incredible morning. I remember fooling around with the tripod for some time trying to get that one branch to just barely touch the bridge while keeping the rest of the composition as it appears. If I ever regreted having only a couple 8x10 holders it was this day! Two photographs that I'm happy with from the same morning is nothing to complaing about though... All the best. Shawn
Shawn, must have been a beautiful morning! I love the (truly) vanishing point of the bridge, and the fact that I can't actually see the point, but have to imagine it.
Such a stark contrast in the print between tonal ranges as well as between man made and nature's own. Very nice!
- Thomas
Thanks Thomas. I agree that there is a nice contrast between man made objects and nature here, I don't want to articulate exactly what it says to me though as I like to leave that up to the viewer. Thanks again! Best. Shawn
Shanw, I almost missed this one. This is beautiful. I bet you were full of excitement under the dark cloth with this one. Sometimes you say to yourself, "don't mess this up!" I can feel the atmosphere and taste the fog. Thanks.
