I have to say I was playing Devils Advocate in my post. I'm a purist at heart and my personal work is all large format Black & White & fibre based prints, however all colour work is now digital. (As is all my commercial work).

Whilst doing an MA in Photography a year or so ago I was the only student on my course to work totally digitally in the First year & totally analog in the Second. In the first year everyone else worked hybrid shooting on film scanning & printing. By the second year a few were totally digital.

My point is that photography has become hybrid with the ability to scan negs etc and also print to conventional materials from digital enlargers, which is exactly as predicted by Edwin land many years ago.

alpanov broke no board rules posting his image, but I agree that perhaps this is not the right forum, or maybe there should be a seperate gallery for images scanned from negs & transparencies.

I agree on the above observation you made but I have one thing to throw into the mix.I think in terms of the most beautiful woman depicted on APUG there is a close tie with the Peltigera image by Ian Grant.I can't choose-and why should I

I like the picture with and without gaussian blur and how can you analog guys put your prints or negs on a computer with a scanner and what are you doing to make the picture looks like it should be? I think you use all PS for it or just a tool with an other name?
I for example prefer if sombody tells me that he used PS for it, so what!
He has used a film thats it!

I must try to be more observant when I am out in the field. I have not run across any sleeping beauties yet.

Using Photoshop here is like trying to throw the ball in a basket while playing baseball.Stupid.
I use photoshop a lot, but i thought this group was analog. And people who don't see the difference between photoshop and a darkroom fibre-based print ought to start going to some exhibitions.
