I found this image while on a trip into the Steens Mountains in eastern Oregon. Would like to hear your comments as always. This is an 8x10 platinum print.
Thanks for the comment. This is printed on the Cranes Weston paper. That's the one that Bostick and Sullivan are now carrying. For developer I use potassium oxalate.
Very nice, Patrick. Did you also try printing this in silver? Although the image is nice with the soft tones of platinum, I think the rich quality of light that would come from a silver print would be very nice as well.
Thanks Ryan. I have printed this image on Azo, and although I like the Azo print, it seems to be more about the silver quality of the foreground, and the platinum print opens up the whole scene, and I find myself meandering back to the trees in the background. Thanks again for your comments.
