Toned photo with untoned photo

This is a photo I toned in a workshop led by ann. The horn on the left was toned in Copper toner.
I really like the toned version; it adds a bit of warmth to the image, makes me want to pickup the instrument (even though I don't play one).

You gotta make yo ax look like you wanna play it, not plate it. The toned 'graph be the warm kinda right kinda cool....which is the most waaay cool cool....ya dig? I know you do.....

Nice one, lean towards the one on the left also...love the warmth. Congratulations, a really nice shoot.

The toned one sits better with me as well. It just suits the instrument, topic, and subject matter better. Both the cone and the trumpet.
I think brass instruments such as a trumpet should be warm and inviting, the toning was a good decision.
With that said I'm a sucker for warm tones... It's not like the other one is bad or anything. It's a very well crafted shot either way.

Thanks everyone! Ann taught a great class and up until last weekend I had never toned one photo! I really like the warmth, too. The print is grand!

(Yo, John... I'm down wit it)
