Big Sur Cove

Big Sur Cove

Flatbed scan of 8 x 10 FB print, untoned. Straight print, grade 2 - no dialed in contrast on MG IV FB. No dodging or burning.

I have some issue with the foreground rock on the right, but with it cropped out the pic lacks depth. I think that maybe it helps to define this out-of-the-way cove. Yes, no?

Nice photograph, Victor. For me, the foreground rock face on the RH side does help frame the scene. Perhaps bringing it down tonally, in addition to the upper LH corner, would balance the image better. What a fantastic place to visit and revisit.

All the best,
Daniel

Victor, great shot and location! I'll have to try and find this one! Love the coastline up there. I like the rock on the right. To me it gives a sense of depth. This photograph has great potential. Any more?

Hello Victor,

Before even reading your description and others comment, I was going to say that the rock on the right needs to be burned down, along with the upper left corner slightly.

Best,

love the image, I was wondering if you took one with a 5-10 sec exposure to give the water that steamy blurd look.
