Rondane

I posted this one earlier, but I updated this photo. Lighter water, darker clouds and more.
I hope you like it! And any comments are welcome :-)
Location
Rondane Nasjonalpark, Norway
Equipment Used
Nikon F-50, negative scanned on Fuji Frontier and concerted to b/w with Photoshop
Exposure
f/8
Film & Developer
Fuji Superia 200 - Lab
Paper & Developer
Photoshop
Why did you convert to B/W ? Image seems to be tilted and the composition is somewhat boring. The image is exactly divided in 2 equal parts, giving no point of interest. Image seems underexposed (the snow in distance is grey).

Thanks for the comment. It was hard but it's the only way I can learn something
It's converted to b/w 'cause i love b/w, but I don't have the knowledge to work in a darkroom with b/w film.

You could use a C-41 film as Portra BW or XP2. Keep up the good work.

JazzMan, processing you own BW film is not hard. You'll screw up once or twice as all of us have but it's very satisfying and keeps you away form the computer

Photshop bad on Analog site. Folks here are very good at explaining how to process your own film. Try it you might like it. You obviously have a good eye. Now we need to get you away from the photoshop

Sounds daft but the only way to learn about b&w is to shoot b&w film and process it yourself. As the others have said it's really cheap and easy to get a few items together and soup those films at the kitchen sink. Also worth looking around for a local photography class if there is one so you have the advantage of darkroom facilities for printing. Good look and go get those pictures.

OK, I should definitely try it
My dad knows alot about the darkroom, but he adviced me not to start with it. Mainly because I'm still studying (not photography), so I don't have much time; and digital photography is getting better and better.
But when I see his or other analog b/w prints on that selenium-toned barite paper I want to start immediatly in the darkroom

tell daddy to show you the craft/ropes and that you'll find time yourself.
I did a lot of photgraphy in middle-scholl, and then in college... as a matter of fact those years is when you have the most time.

I'd suggest you start by having your film developed but print it yourself. I need to take tiny steps in this process (having a tiny mind) and that's been a way for me to begin. Good for you for having the courage to post something!
