Apple I

My first published work, appearing in Political Affairs Magazine, April 07.

Efke 100 in Rodinal 1+50, negative scanned, no manipulation.

Explanation: To accomplish this, I had to drill two holes (vampire fang wounds) in the apple. Connect tubing from the back and fill syringes with warm chocolate syrup. Then I pushed the plunger and out shot the syrup.

I read some articles on this sort of thing, the tricks of special effects photography like this. The articles were rather dated though, so I hoped this sort of ingenuity hadn't died in favour of photoshopping everything together. I'm impressed, it's a brilliant effect and you've pulled it off very well.
