my linhof 220

my linhof 220

what do you think of my linhof 220. It actually works, Im thinking of trying a 100mm xenotar f2.8 but the rodenstock that came with it is working pretty well. I built it for a design project for my portfolio for RISD. Thanks for looking.
very interesting! tell us more about it ... so you just took the back and lens off the linhof and designed a new body?

Interesting. Have you seen the wooden prototype for the more common vertical 220 with the pistol grip in _The Linhof Story_? They clearly designed that camera to look like a broadcast microphone of that era.

yes that is the before version. I took the handle off and put a bogen quick release plate instead. Cut the viefinder housing off and made a new top piece. Re worked the guts to accept the wining knob from a roll film back. installed a copal press shutter and mamiya viewfinder and painted it and made a new cover were the winder used to be out of oak.
