If it has nothing to do with carrots, then what's your vision? Study in shape and form? I have to confess I look at this print and think of a shrimp or for some reason a betta, in the best possible sense.
Don't get me wrong, I love the simplicity and the setup, I really do. The lighting is exquisite, and that lens captures real beauty.
Is this a project where carrots represent humans, and you're bending and shaping them to similate poses? This kind of feels like a fetal position.
MVNelson~ No, not home grown, though I may plant some soon... Don't know how they'll do in the Arizona climate...
Thomas, the carrots were not so much a choice as a twist of circumstance. The carrot photographs are for someone.
Tim, it's always good to hear from you; hope we run into each other soon, perhaps at the WPHS show?
Mike, thank you for the good thoughts. "A carrot a day..."
Ryan, I have two more 11x14 negatives waiting to be developed... It's proving to be an "occaisional" camera, though I'd hate to be without it. It's nice to know it's there when the urge for something larger than 8x10 creeps up... Thank you for its use. How's the 8x10 enlarger working for you?
